DELTA and EDF have constructed the Sloecentrale in the port and industrial area to the east of Vlissingen in 2007. The Sloecentrale came on line at the end of 2009. It supplies electricity to industrial customers and private households. The power plant generates about 870 megawatts, which is equivalent to the electricity used by two million households.
