The project

By constructing the Sloecentrale plant, DELTA and EDF displayed a visionary perspective. Given the current economic conditions where other energy companies are developing plans voor new generation capacity, the Sloecentrale is leading this trend.

The total budget for the Sloe Centrale  nearly 600 million EURO. Ultimately, the total construction cost amounted to 549 million Euro. This included all preparation, connection to gas, electricity, water and data lines, the costs for commissioning.

 

The plant was built by Siemens AG and was supervised by specialists from Erlangen. In January 2007, Siemens AG, started designing the Sloe Centrale. In this design all requirements had to be met of the legislator, Sloe Centrale and Siemens had regarding the construction.

Construction begun by laying the foundation stone on 28 June 2007 and more than two years later, the second unit of Siemens AG, was completed on December 13, 2009.
