The Sloe power plant with its modern state-of-the-art technology is greener because less CO2 is released during combustion, compared to old coal plants and gas plants. Only a nuclear power plant emits less CO2. The high degree of flexibility and high efficiency make the Sloecentrale special. Due to this flexibility of production at Sloecentrale, variability of wind turbines can be compensated for. After all, wind turbines produce very irregular amounts of electricity which are balanced by Sloecentrale.
The green color of the plant therefore was not a random choice.
